GROUNDED IN LOVING PRESENCE -

Online Program

Video Introduction!!!

How is it to be grounded in Loving Presence?

Previous program participants described being grounded in loving presence as an uplifting and transformative state, marked by profound feelings of love, safety, relaxation, self- acceptance, and joy. It created a deep sense of alignment and contentment.

Laura Kessler expressed this vividly: “The first thing that comes to me is love. This morning, for example, I was bathing in my own energy. I didn’t want to do anything else—just sit here and feel myself. Everything is fine as it is, everything is correct, and everything is safe. Nothing can happen to me. Everything happens at the right time. I feel right. There is nothing wrong with me. This is what it feels like. Yes, it is very beautiful. Right now, I feel so much contentment and calmness. Everything is just very quiet.”

Similarly, Gayatri described the sense of connection and clarity she experiences: “It feels true to who I am. I feel love, and I feel clear about what is going on. I don’t feel like I’m in a hurry to do anything. I feel loved. I feel valued. Yeah, right now, I feel valued.”

Verena Strobl emphasized the profound joy and stillness that comes with being in this state: “It is simply beautiful. It’s joyful, ecstatic, and present—a quiet joy. It’s like a stream in the heart, constantly generating love. It is an endless source of love and joy. It is simply there. To be inside this bliss.”

Julien noted the sense of presence and empathy he experiences: “I feel my body. I’m there. I feel good, and I usually have a smile on my face. It is a feel-good state. I feel empathy for people around me, and I’m unbothered. I am present and allowing what’s happening around me.”

Together, these reflections highlight the deeply nurturing and harmonious qualities of being grounded in loving presence, fostering a powerful sense of inner peace and connection to oneself and others. Examining the mechanisms that contribute to this deeply satisfying experience, it can be inferred that the variety of methods fostering grounding, love, presence, and attunement each addressing different dimensions of human experience, such as the subtle body, awareness, and relationships play a crucial role in creating this profoundly fulfilling state of being grounded in loving Presence.

The journey that led to the creation of the Grounded in Loving Presence program began in the depths of personal struggle. When I was twenty years old my heart, speech, body, and mind were broken. I had a high degree vertebral sliding which caused huge pain. Therefore, my journey of becoming a professional freeride skier ended before it really started. At the same time my girlfriend left me. I had strong blockages in speaking for which I felt tremendous shame and experienced social anxiety. This dark night of the soul lasted for about two years.

The turning point came after a spinal surgery that went better than I could have ever hoped. Following my recovery, I felt a deep eagerness to experience love, joy, and freedom without resorting to self-destructive behaviors like extreme sports or taking drugs. This longing ignited my search for healing, love, and truth.

My inner journey began with immersing myself in nature. I found solace in the forest, connecting deeply with the trees, letting my roots grow into the earth, and opening my mind wide into the sky. Tears of joy flowed as I resonated with myself and the environment, practicing loving-kindness and compassion meditation. During this same period, I studied psychology, but I struggled with social anxiety, blocks in communication, and an intense fear of speaking in front of people.

A pivotal shift occurred at age 23, when I met Sumiran, a teacher of Zen and Qi Gong. In our first meeting I felt strong lightning in my heart. My mind became totally silent. Everything was shining. I saw myself in everything there were no boundaries. There was only love, peace and oneness. After that my social anxiety was gone. I felt free and at ease. This state of pure loving presence lasted for about two weeks, then slowly my fearful and shameful parts came back but I knew that deep inside myself I am this Peace. I am this vast open loving Presence.

After that first strong opening into pure loving presence, I was eager to explore ways to come home into my heart. I studied with great teachers from different traditions, mostly from Tibetan Buddhism, Advaita and Daoism. I rejoiced practicing Qi gong and Meditation in the forest, being moved by the universe, in oneness with creation, feeling the sun shining in my heart.

After some time, connecting with loving presence, became easier and easier and the deep wish to share this beautiful experience arose. However, I was not able to step out into the world and share myself and those beautiful methods freely because a part of me was afraid of speech blockages and judgements, and being not able to share my heart was very painful for me.

This lead me on a quest to find my free voice and authentic expression. On that journey, I meet Nukunu, a true master of the direct approach and non dual therapy. The direct approach, means to find our essential nature in the core of every experience, even in the most painful ones. It means to totally accept ourself as we are, to relax into our fear, sadness or grief, allowing it be as it is and sensing into its center. Finding pure loving presence in the midst of my fears, sadness and childhood traumas was tremendously freeing.

Another important aspect in finding my authentic expression is connecting from loving presence, meeting in the heart. Being in resonance with each other without any agenda, open to what is. In that shared space of loving awareness everything can show up and feels seen and heard. This spontaneous dance of shared presence often serves as a portal into pure being and oneness, and is also the heart of Presence oriented Psychotherapy.

My path deepened further through profound personal loss. My girlfriend Rocio got severely ill, while I was in India, so I traveled home as fast as I could, being tormented by fear that Rocio will die and hope that she will recover. When my plane landed in munich, I received the message that I should come as fast as possible to the hospital because it was time to say goodby. When I entered the hospital all my fear and pain fell off me. I was pure love and could spent the last two hours holding Rocio in my arms, in a cocoon of love.

The pain in my heart after my girlfriend Rocio passed away was immense. Knifes were piercing my heart. It felt like Rocio was carving her place to live into my heart. I could not do anything but welcome my pain and gently breathe the pain into my heart. Being in oneness with my pain, a channel opened up right through the pain, and I fell deep into my heart, into the ever-shining sun in my heart, into love and light. Love does not know death.

Opening my heart in hell, embracing my grief, finding love and openness in my pain ignited a powerful transformation and healing. A few months after Rocio passed away, a small miracle started to happen. I overcame my life-long fear of public speaking, and fear of stuttering, which held me back from sharing myself and my heart totally. The former so feared experience of facilitating groups became effortless and easy. Now, I am totally at ease and free, grounded in loving presence, while facilitating classes and hosting retreats, sharing ways to come home into our heart. It is such a delight for me to be in my heart, sharing what I love and seeing people coming home into their hearts, into love, joy, and silence.

The Grounded in Loving Presence program emerges from this lived experience. It is a testament to the power of meeting life’s deepest challenges with openness, love, and presence. By grounding ourselves in loving presence we can uncover profound healing and connection—not only within ourselves but also with the world around us.

What is the Grounded in Loving Presence Program?

What participants say about how the Grounded in Loving Presence program helped them:

This course has been a transformative experience for me. It helped me feel more grounded and centered, so much that even my therapist has noticed a positive shift in my overall well-being. I've found myself feeling more energized on days I practiced the course's exercises, and more restful and calm overall.

Two exercises, in particular, have resonated deeply with me: Open Awareness and Moving from Grief to Grace. The Open Awareness exercise introduced me to a vast, infinite space within myself, free from the constant pressure of urgency culture, notifications, and deadlines.

In the Moving from Grief to Grace exercise, I found the time and space to connect with my grief, which simply wanted to be witnessed.

Matti's one-on-one support has been invaluable, providing guidance and encouragement whenever I needed it. I'm incredibly grateful for this course and highly recommend it to anyone seeking greater peace, clarity, and self-awareness.

Gayatri

Deeply transformational weeks!

The Grounded in Loving Presence course with Matti was really essential to stabilise me and bring me deeper into contact with essence. I was going through a severe heart break and this program was supporting me a lot. Through the grounding exercises I found more calm in my nervous system, relaxation and trust. I had profound experiences, which where feeling like diving into water and the mind became still. In the sequences where the heart was adressed, I came more in touch with the pain of the loss of my partner, but my heart could recover much faster, specially with the practices for the inner child and transformation of the grieve into grace. I felt held in the way Matti talked us through the practice and could really surrender to it. The fact that Matti is a psychotherapist with a grounded approach to spirituality, merging together body, heart and essence, is in my eyes still rare and very precious. It gives me trust in his authority and at the same time I feel Matti as a brother on my path. Thank you Matti for your work. I hope this online format, in combination with your retreats and 1:1 work is reaching to and guiding many people.

The course was an incredible experience for me!

It helped me embrace and accept what is, as well as accept myself. For a long time, it was difficult for me to simply accept who I am, but through this course, I finally understood what self-acceptance truly means.

I am deeply grateful for this transformative journey.

Kerstin Kröll

What a journey!

I feel I expanded my self-awareness with grounding and openhearted qualities. I pay more attention to my body sensations in my belly breathing, which feels soothing, relaxing, and somehow empowering. It’s been a beautiful and delicate journey into my own world with the most helpful and gentle guidance from Matti. I learnt tools to regulate my emotions, be with them, accept them and be present with what is.

This is what I needed most at this point of my life. I am immensely grateful to have been able to follow this course. Thank you Matti 🙏❤️

What was most helpful for participants?

Gayatri shares: „The way you supported me was the greatest highlight because I haven’t had that kind of support in a long time“ Other supporting aspects were: „The flexibility and the duration of each day's practice. There was a nice balance between active physical movement and stillness, and there was a very nice balance between theory and the practice as well. It wasn't too overwhelming and it was not too short either. It was a perfect length.“ „It is very beginner friendly. I'm like a baby because I am just learning how to do that. I think you break down complex topics into simple, small pieces and then you support it with theory and practice together. Plus the fact that if I had any doubts, I could always approach you.“

For Laura Kessler the facilitators presence was the most helpful aspect of the program: „To be honest, your presence. I would almost say that it's your field of energy that I perceive. I don't know exactly. I have the feeling that in your presence everything is allowed to be there, and you live it as a role model. I don't know exactly. I try to understand it myself. So definitely your voice. Your timbre, and there's a warmth that always comes with it. I like the way you make it a lot, you are radiating such a caIm. I think it's the most meaningful when I say that your presence helped me the most.“

She shares further: „I notice a difference when I make yoga or meditation with an other teacher it is much more difficult and with you I hade the feeling you start to speak and I am immediately present and it is very easy to get out of my head.“

Laura also found the Qi Gong exercises very helpful: „Especially the exercises when we connect with the earth energy and the sky. That does a lot with me.“ The participant shares that these Qi Gong exercises help her to feel a calmness and the chaos within herself are brought in order and then: „I feel love and acceptance“ and „trust in the big whole“.

Verena describes that for her the holistic nature of program was most helpful: „You gave us a treasure box, which has everything inside. It helped that it was so integral, so holistic, because it helped me to integrate and stabilize so much in my process. It wouldn't have helped me if I had only done heart healing. Or just awareness. Or just grounding. Or just dancing. Probably what helped me the most was that it was so integral. Also with the psychotherapeutic self-care and healing tools“ … „The program helped me to build the resources to be with my inner child. I never had this capacity probably I was too traumatized before.“

What was the biggest benefit for participants?

Gayatri shares that: „I used to understand only the language of my head before taking part in the program. Now, I'm beginning to understand the language of my body and my heart - I lernt to listen to my heart and body. I slowed down to observe what is going on in my heart and what is going on in my body. I feel like I have a lot more energy because I’m not wasting it in all the imagination. Yeah, it feels good.“

Getting in touch with open spacious awareness was very helpful for Gayatri to find rest: „It felt like there is a calm infinity out there. There is no rush. There is so much space. I don't have to worry about taking someone else's space or being constricted. And it's beautiful.“

She also found it very helpful to connect with her grief: "I cried a lot during the practice, but after crying, I felt much lighter, and having the image of this divine mother who can understand me, who's compassionate and who's there to support me, sort of gave me the capacity to hold the grief better. There is a sense of trust that I can go back to the wound and attend to it again, and I will not end up hurting it even more. I have the strength to hold that grief."

Laura Kessler shared that her biggest benefit was that: „I am allowed to be and now I can hold everything with gentleness and to recognize that my strength sits in my lower belly, to feel that strength, and from that I realize I can quickly create strength. It works very quickly. A lot changed for me while taking part in the 'Grounded in Loving Presence' Program - it really supported me in this process to go into the visibility and to get through the fear. My way of dealing with fear has changed, and way of dealing with difficult feelings has changed. The feeling of overwhelm is much less."

"My fear somehow dissolved, because I no longer had this desire for perfection. I didn't think that everything had to go really well. I just thought, no matter what, I'm just nice to myself, and I took out this pressure. I also have this trust in the strength in my belly. That was the only reason that I could facilitate my sound healing journeys because I know I can swiftly connect with this place and I come into my power. In the past I wrote down everything what I say and know I have the deep trust that I know in the moment what I want to say, that I can make it spontaneous"

Laura shares further that she is know much more comfortable being visible on social media, posting videos where she is sharing her heart with singing: „I was hiding because I hade fear of rejection but now I stand behind what I do, I like it and I appreciate myself, and the program helped me to find that stability, like in the mediation where I became a tree, that was great“

Laura continues: "I also experience more self love and I learnt to hold my feelings in loving awareness I also notice that, funnily enough, when I look in the mirror. I like myself more. think that's what I said before. That was your presence. You reminded me of that. Through what you say and how you are. To realize that I can be with everything, and breathe in everything. That everything can be there, and that I can feel everything, and when I feel it, I realize that it changes. That was a very good experience. But it's really your presence".

Verenas reflects about her biggest benefit: "Self love was the biggest benefit for me. I think that self love was exactly the right thing for my process, my break up with boyfriend. Working with the heart, with self-love, with self-care, with self-compassion. I would say there were many, many gifts and enrichments, but I think that was the thing that was most healing and really good for me. I was in shock because of the separation from my boy friend. The program helped me a lot to get out of the shock and to process the pain and find back to myself. It was an extreme time I walked through“

She shares further that many aspects of the program helped her in her intense time: "Taking this infinite ocean of love into my heart - that feels so good for me. Turning toward my inner child helped me a lot too. The from grief to grace practice was great, that happened on a day when there was a lot of pain, and I just sat with it. I feel that working with the heart meridian, the lung and large intestine meridian helped me also."

"There were so many gifts. Also, re-anchoring in awareness. That is happening again. Somehow, I needed a kickstart. I was a bit lost. Confused, strayed. Went through something. And now I’m back. More in presence, more in Awareness. There is a very pleasant chemistry in the head. I notice that it makes the brain very coherent. A lightness and Clarity. Freedom of thought. Openness. The spaciousness mediation reconnected me to awareness.“

Another enormous gift for Verena was deepen her experience of grounding: „My grounding is more stable. It's like when I dive into a pool of water and I'm under water, and it's quiet. I've never felt this before, the grounding, that's really grounding, this connection. In the last training, I also did grounding, but you went much deeper. I was able to feel the grounding in a completely different way“.

„You gave us a treasure box, which has everything inside. It helped that it was so integral, so holistic, because it helped me to integrate and stabilize so much in my process. It wouldn't have helped me if I had only done heart healing. Or just awareness. Or just grounding. Or just dancing. Probably what helped me the most was that it was so integral. Also with the psychotherapeutic self-care and healing tools. The program helped me to build the resources to be with my inner child. I never had this capacity probably I was too traumatized before. I am much more stable now“.

The program helped me a lot with my heart healing: „It was a real heart break. Now I feel very connected in my heart. I feel I arrived at home. Satisfied with my life and happy and your story touched me a lot, what you shared with your heart break. It was similar for me now that I went through my deepest pain into the light“.

The practices of Grounded in Loving Presence - What you will learn and practice!

Qi Gong
Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese healing practice that harmonizes body, mind, and spirit by promoting and balancing the flow of "Qi" (life energy) through the meridians and energetic centers of the body. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoism, this practice combines gentle, flowing movements, conscious breathing, and mindfulness. It opens and nourishes the meridians—energy channels—and activates key energetic centers such as the lower, middle, and upper Dantian. Opening and nourishing these centers enhance vitality, stability, love, compassion, awareness, and wisdom.

The program uses mainly Hun Yuan Qi Gong and Nei Yang Gong.

  • Hun Yuan Qi Gong helps us return to the "primordial unity" or "original source," a state where all things are interconnected and harmoniously united at their origin. It works with the universal energy that pervades everything and from which all existence emerges.

  • Nei Yang Gong, meaning "internally nourishing Qi Gong," strengthens health, nourishes inner energy, and promotes life force, supporting well-being, healing, and inner balance.

Buddhist Meditation
Different forms of Buddhist meditation enable us to connect deeply with ourselves, our awareness, love, compassion, and inner peace.

  • Calm Abiding Meditation: This practice helps stabilize the mind by focusing attention on an object, such as the breath, or the natural flow of thoughts and sensations without interference.

  • Insight Meditation: A form of meditation aimed at gaining insight into the nature of reality, impermanence, and the interconnectedness of all life.

  • Loving-Kindness Meditation: This practice cultivates unconditional love and goodwill for oneself and others.

  • Compassion Meditation: This strengthens compassion by consciously embracing suffering and radiating love and healing.

These practices foster mindfulness, emotional balance, and compassion, forming a foundation for personal and spiritual development.

Breathwork
Buddhist and Taoist breathwork focuses on cultivating and directing energy (Qi or Prana) through mindful breathing techniques. A key focus in Taoist practice is the Dantian, particularly the lower and middle Dantian. The lower Dantian, located just below the navel, is considered the body's primary energy center. Breathwork involves deep, abdominal breathing to nourish and store energy in this area, fostering deep grounding and stability. Breathing connected to the heart space supports the cultivation of compassion and love.

Free Movement
Free movement with music is a spiritual and therapeutic practice that involves spontaneously moving to sounds. It helps express emotions and cultivate qualities such as grounding, love, compassion, or openness. This method, which I developed, supports the release of energetic and emotional blockages, strengthens self-awareness, and promotes emotional healing.

This practice enables a powerful connection and integration of mind, body, and spirit through the healing and expressive power of movement. For me, it is a way to open to higher love and become one with the Earth and the Universe. It is an embodied prayer, a surrender to what is—moved by our inner intelligence and the breath of life.
